Happy 55 share

Hello everyone,  Yesterday I celebrated my 55th.  Feeling good and very grateful.  I had a scene brewing in my mind and tried to express it on this journal page.  I don't have a title or quote for it.  Something I'm working on as I continue to practice painting.   Mediums used on this page were Americana Acrylic paints.

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a wonderful wonderful weekend.

Much love, hugs, Maria

Recent Project Shares

Hello Everyone,  sharing some painting, doodling fun I've been trying out.  Something to exercise my hands and leave the fear of mixing colors and just have a good time.
These are all done with Americana acrylic paints, gesso, decou-page, folkart paints, bubble stenciling, gelly pens and sharpies.

This one was inspired by Tracy Weinzapfel.  She always creates such fun flowers.

Thank you so much for stopping by, Have a wonderful weekend.
Until soon,

Hugs, Maria

ARTIST

Express yourself and have fun doing it!
My friend Maggie was always saying "Do something, Just have FUN" .   I would try and just couldn't for a long time.  I would get anxious, nervous and everything under the sun. LOL

Now, I am feeling free.  I guess you can tell right?  lol  I know.
An Artist in the making...
Well, at least a beginner. :o)

Thank you so much for stopping by.
Have a great day!
hugs always,
Maria

BLOOMING FUN COLORS -

Inspired by Tracy Weinzapfel.  The vibrant colors underneath were previously done with Dylusion ink sprays.  The white mini flowers are home made paper stencil with white acrylic paint. Oh, there are other stencils underneath too. :o)

Playing with Ink Sprays, Stencils, and more.

This postcard was inspired by my dear youtube mixed media artist Almut Olsson.  If you haven't watched her video, I recommend you stop by.  She really makes some beautiful unique art.  Here is the postcard below and I altered the reverse side with the writing.  Let me know what you think. :o)

Saturday I was feeling a bit down.  Life happens and other things. So I had this page already prepped with other colors from something else I was previously working on and decided I would express me at the moment.  Here I am folded over like the little flower below.  Although we may have rough days, surrounding us is always a brighter and better tomorrow.  As long as we have breath, there is HOPE.  I thank God for that. It was good to express it on paper and best of all with color.  :o)

A little bit of everything going on below.

GRATITUDE - Inspired by Tracy's MMM classes

Little did I know how changing the title of my blog would really unleash Where Colors Take Me.  I'm having fun and enjoying every minute of it.  Thank you Tracy and all my crafty and talented artist friends in my life and youtube.  I hope you'll feel my Gratitude in each painting and crafting thing I share with you.  Take care,

hugs,
Maria
