I used some rub-on's I got at Micheal's Craft Store.   The spray inks I used are called FIREWORKS by Tsukineko.  Colors,  Lady Bug, Dandelion, Paris Dusk, Lilac Poises, Bamboo Leaves, Lulu Lavender and Goosebumps Shimmer Texture Sray (2 fl. oz).  The bottles are 0.5 oz but the colors are truly vibrant.

Love the antique chair and the quote.  (Rest A Minute )

This is my finished product.  I think it came out really nice.  The girl is a 6x6 template by Balzer Designs,  The Crafter's Workshop.  My firt time using this sentcil and I love it.  Get inspired and give these a try.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great Day !

My Second Bees Wax Project - Dedicated to Mom

A view from the bottom up before I framed the finished canvas board.

Hola,  Sunday was my first try using Bees Wax on canvas board. (Blue bird with butterflies).  Monday night I challenged myself to do another.  This is the result.  I used vibrant red roses and yellow napkins.  I also used a wine bottle with leaves from The Graphics Fairy Free clip art website ( button on the side bar), and a picture of my mother when she was 20.

Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Abrazos, Maria

This shot is taken from my window.  I tried to take it with natural lighting.

Another full view picture from the window with natural light.  You can see some layers and the inperfections being perfectly exhibit.  Not bad for a first timer. LOL

A Special Birthday Gift for Amanda

I made this charm for Amanda.  She turned 21 a couple of weeks ago.   Although she's studying Natural Resources, she still loves her Marine life buddies.  I pray she succeeds in what she puts her heart to do.  She was born for greatness not just for herself but to bless many.

Amanda in 2008 when she graduated from High School and the smaller picture when she was ten years old.  She's precious. I know, what parent won't say that about their child. LOL.

The Petite Keepsake box for her new charm.  Love you Amanda, I hope you like this handmade gift made with love especially for you by mama. xoxoxoxo

***Check out the little video I made. Enjoy...

Weekend Project Creation !

Familia,  Introducing my very first Bees wax creation on canvas board using napkins.  It is really REALLY cool.....  I also used some Perfect Peals to give the canvas some shimmer.  (Over the beeswax) Interested in taking a bees wax workshop? Check out Mixed Media Workshops, Beezzz Wax workshop with Natalie Bramasole.

These are the napkins I used.  Not all of it but certain pieces

Special request from Mary my neighbor

Hola !!! Finally a weekend project I can post on my blog. LOL  This little piece is something my neighbor Mary brought by two weekends ago.  She painted it with wall paint all in one color.  She said Maria, can you help?   I said sureeeeeeee... Let's see what we can do.  No rush she says....

Mary has been my neighbor for 25 years.  She makes the best chicken soup, lentil, and other goodies she showers on me from time to time.  I bring her bread, coffee and other goodies as well.  So we share with one another.  She found out I craft so I was on the spot light.

Me and spotlight don't get along.  So then, my fellow blogger this is my take on re-creating a one colored floral arrangement.  Leave me a comment.  Love to know what you think.  Mary's response when she saw it all finished was " Wow, Maria... it's ALIVE..."  We laughed.

BZ Originals for Me...

This is a beautiful custom design Barb made for me.  I bought the earrings and wanted a necklace and bracelet to match.  Well, I must say when Barb showed me what she created for me I was Wowed!  It surpassed my expectations.  I knew she would create something beautiful, but this piece says it all.  Barb, God bless you and your hands.  May you continue to create beautiful pieces for all those ladies out there who want their inner beauty to be highlighted by the jewelry you make.

Sometimes a girl has to shower herself with a few of her favorite things.  Among the many things I love that are vintage I love jewelry.  Like most of my personal things, they usually speak to me.  These are some of my recent handmade jewelry collection which I purchased from a dear friend in Colorado.  Her name is Barbara Zinkhan.  Barbara's website button is located on the left side of my blog.  "BZ Originals"  Go, check it out.... You won't be disappointed.   Thank you Barb!!!!!

This piece is so beautiful and charming in person.  The picture doesn't do it justice.  The best part is... that it's one of a kind.  It's heavy and just beautiful when I put it on. The earrings are just the right size.  I do feel richly vintage.

This little beauty is a book mark that Barbara made.  Isn't it lovely?  The blue colors are exquisite.  My very own personal book mark.  Well, Vintage Me Happy!!!!

Look how lovely it hangs from my book.  I tell you, it's the simple things that make me happy.  No more post-it between the pages. LOL.
