2015 Projects made by me, my daughter Amanda

Amanda made this one for her Friend.

We celebrated the baby shower of a co-worker.  I teamed up with Klarissa, another crafter and we decorated with and owl theme.  The crib is a sizzix XL die and the card is a thinlits die also by sizzix.

These handbags were one with one 12 x 12 cardstock.  The inspiration came from Elaine,  Papercraft Buttons on youtube.  Here's her tutorial.  Enjoy

Did I mentioned before that I love my dies?  Yes Yes I do.... And I've been enjoying making things with them.  Here are some strawberries I made using the Sizzix Bigz Pro Strawberry die.

These pumkins were inspired Keenan Kreations.  Here's her tutorial.  https://youtu.be/cj3BKq4qUec  They're easy and fun to make.

Finding Dori,  Pin wheel goodness

Hello  crafty friends,  Finding Dori is all the rage these days.  I'm no exception.   What a perfect opportunity to play with the Pinwheel punch board from We Are Memory Keepers.  I've been eyeing that punch board since it came out and a couple of weeks ago I finally added it to my punch board collection.  Yes, I love my dies and punch boards.  Here are two sizes I made for my lovely fashionista very talented crafty DIY friend Klarrisa, who was giving a BBQ birthday celebration and also made a special corner in the back yard for her daughter and two other little girls to have fun in.  This first one is a 7 inch pin wheel and the bottom one is a 6 inch one.   I love them and had a blast making them.

I have to say that I've been wanting to make a shaker card for the longest time.  I've watched all the tutorials possible and I finally tried it out.  Well,  it was a challenge for me.  I had so many thoughts in my mind on all the tutorials I'd seen and the first two I made were a mix of many techniques.   They all seem so easy on youtube.   I was getting anxious and frustrated.  To make my long story short I finally gave up and looked up one of the tutorial on how to make the shaker card.  Ohhh,  what a relief when I finally saw the light and was able to see the card come together.  Below is one that is complete and all it needed what the ribbons which were added later by my friend.

These were thank you goodie bag toppers made with  a sizzix thinlits die.  This die is really diverse,  It can also be used for table settings or any other project you can image.   Really cool weekend project.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Happy Crafting,

Hugs, Maria

Hi everyone,  One of my recent projects.  An altered "M" for my childhood and pretty much  my forever friend and sister Myrta.  She loved it.  I used a wooden letter from Michael craft store, gessoed to prime it before painting.  used several color paints including a bit of metallic,  Tim holtz music tissue papers, prima flowers, designer paper to make it shabby chic semi vintage  and Tim's ideology token with the word UNIQUE.

Hope you like it and get inspired to create an alter letter of your own.  I have to say there are many youtube videos showing how to alter a letter.  But I always loved Arlene's tutorial from Butterflykisses12.  check it out, here's one of her tutorials,  https://youtu.be/Km3wG2kIq24

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful crafty day.

Hugs, Maria

Hello Crafty friends,  Hope all are doing well.  It's been over a year since I've posted in my blog.  Well, I thought it was high time I get back into the swing of crafty goodness and sharing.  2015 was pretty business for me when it came to crafting.  Pretty much got me rolling.   I had the opportunity to collaborate with a dear co-worker and friend Klarissa, to plan some cool paper crafts for her daughters 6th birthday.  The theme was "Sophia the First"  But in this case I called it "Princess Abigail the First".  Below are some of the things we worked on.  I used various Sixxiz pro dies for the dress box, tea pot and 3D tea cups.  Also the small jar and spoon at the end.  I hope you like them I surely enjoyed being part of this event.

Used Sizzix Pro die Dress Box-  Embellishments were also sizzix dies Flourish by Tim Holtz

Tea Pot Sizzix Pro die and 3D tea cup dies.  Tim Hotlz mini rosettes die

Abigail's grandmother sewed these beautiful bags for the girls and the little shaker pocket tied to the handles were made with sequences and each little girls name inside.  (personalized bags)

The Crown for each girl was made with Brenda Walton's Large crown die.  Mom made it even more lovely by adding the flowers and butterflys embellishments

Here are some butterflies  using  Tim Holtz  die and embossing folder.   They were used in the arrangements

Here is Princess Abigail crowning one of the little princesses along with  placing a jewel necklace and a ring.  It was  Truly a Beautiful Princess Birthday Tea party Gala.

Above are all the princesses , Princess Abigail, her beautiful mom Klarrisa and dad Miguel who prepared the backyard and  transformed it into a true royal tea party for their precious Princess .  Thank you Klarrisa for letting me  be part of the celebration.
