Lady Love TPR - Entry to Itripledogdareu Challenge

Hello,  This is my first challenge entry.  Youtube " Itripledogdareu" is having a TPR challenge through the end of the month.  I kept mine simple because I wanted to show the Napkin fuse technique I learned from Littlecanvases channel  Title: Decoupage Canvas-
Link: http://youtu.be/ZaE_QTxcs5c.   I used some lace from my stash and a shoe charm.  The love sign (wood - from SaCrafters Zibbet shop).  Green tulle from my daughter Amanda, mini I Am Roses,  Bead trim from stash and the seam binding from ShabbyBeautiful (Mitzy) Zibbet shop.  Hope you like it.  Thanks for stopping by.  Hugs, Maria

Altered Bird House H

Hello there, hope you're doing well.  Last weekend I made a little project while talking to my mom via skype.  This is what I used.  Michael's wooden bird house.  Mod podge and smoothed some on the roof of the house. Gently placed the napkin over it. (took the layers of napkin apart until I had only the top decorated portion). The napkin was cut in different areas so I just paste pieces together until the entire bird house was fully covered with the napkin.  I was talking all the time and didn't notice the bird was facing the wrong way. lol... That's when I decided the bird left the home to get food for the babies. :o) - Not bad right? hahahah.
The base of the  house is just an extra block I had and thought it would make a cool stand to place the birdhouse.  Make it look like it's really nestle some place.  I took some Flower Soft I had in my stash and modeling paste.  Made it look like soft bumpy grass.  Then, I made some mixed media newspaper and trimmed out the fence and grass to complete the project.
I'll post the link to the Mixed Media Newspaper tutorial below.

Thanks for shopping by.

(Above) - White tissue paper  I stamped on with different stamps, sprayed some dylusions Ink Spray, Glimmer mist, white gesso on templates I got from Sa Crafters.

Christmas Gifts 2012

Happy New Year "2013" everyone.  Hope you're all doing well.  Wanted to share the lovely presents I received for Christmas.   This card came from my daughter Amanda.  I was delighted and overwhelmed with joy when I read the inside.  "She was inspired from the Heart. :o).  And while she was home for the new year, she surprised me with this little wooden trinket box.   She painted and decorated the inside with the colors I love and make me happy.
Thank you mama.  xoxoxo

This beautiful dress form I gave to myself.  It was $7.99 at TJ Maxx.  I know, I thought it was a good deal.  These babies go for lots more around here. :o)... the candle on the right was from my sweet co-working friend Charlotte.  It's smells like wonderful homemade apple pie.  Sooooo wonderfully delicious.  The beautiful yellow card with the little angel is from my beloved mom who also sent me a gift card, calendar wallet with pen (forgot to include it in the photo.  I had it in my bag lol)

Two years ago I had the good fortune to meet a wonderful sweet lady from Belgium.  My sweet Crafty friend Lutgart.  Well, Lutgart is a teacher in her homeland and loves crafting too.  She makes the most beautiful and detailed cards that you can't help but stare and touch them for a long long long time.  lol... They tell their own story.  Above is the cover  and below is the inside part with the snowman throwing the snow ball.  Each snow ball changes in size and comes with a  word until it completes it's Holiday greeting.  (Lutgart gave me all the translations for each snow ball.)  I love it Lutgart.  Thank you so much.  I always look forward to your cards.

Last but not least at all is this beautiful altered box from my dear friend Maggie. (http://www.youtube.com/user/MAGGIE660) This was truly a treat and special surprise.  Maggie has been taking classes on drawing faces and other mixed media art. Look at this girl.  Isn't she lovely?  It's more beautiful in person. She's surrounded by lavender/purple bling.  The entire front of the box has texture.  No area on this surface is smooth. I love it.

Now.... this is the inside of the box and it's a happening inside cover.  Yes indeed.  It's my name in Hebrew. It's got purple bling and lots of texture.  But isn't it cool?  My name in Hebrew.  lol.  Maggie and I took a semester of beginner's Hebrew two summers ago.  We had a blast.   Maggie asked me if I put anything in the box already.  I said... Girl..... I'm not putting anything in that box.  I can't.  lol.. It's in my living room, opened and right where I can look at it from any angle.  It's a soothing color and it has my name written on it too!  In Hebrew (Ivrit)  עִבְרִית

Check this out.  The inside of the box has Psalm 23. "The Lord is my Shepherd" in Hebrew and English.  I wish I could say I can sing it but no... I can't.   Who knows, one day I will sing it along with Maggie and many others too!

Well familia, this is all for now.  May this new year bring you all health, peace, wisdom, strength and joy in the mist of all those things we cannot control.  May the Lord Bless and keep you.

Thank you for stopping by.

Lots of hugs,
Maria

My First Happy Birthday Banner!

This is a little birthday card for my friend's daughter 1st Birthday.   My first try at making a banner.  It's very simple but I have to say I was a nervous reck trying to put it together.  Can you see and feel the Love oozzzing out on the banner?  lol.  It was made for Baby Cori Noelle. "Happy Birthday Precious".  It's suppose to hang on the wall but I took these pictures with the banners on my sofa.

The project comes from a Banner Tutorial by:   Laura Denison - Following the Paper Trail:  http://www.followingthepapertrail.blogspot.com/
Feel free to browse through her blog and youtube channel.  She makes amazing creations.

Thanks again for stopping by,

Latest Update: Altered Box For Donna: Arrived Late but sure (Tarde pero Seguro) lol...

Hello there, Like the title says... "Late but Sure, Tarde pero Seguro" This is a photo of the Altered box I made for my swap partner Donna03311.  SHE GOT IT!!!!!! YAY.  A month later but she got it!!!!!

All is well.  lolololol
Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great weekend.

This was an added surprise I made for Donna to go with the box above.  A three page canvas board mini album.  I kept it simple so she could put her special pictures or journal in it.  I painted the edges and used the Ancestry design paper from K&Comany through out the box and canvas mini.  The chair, shoe and lady peeking are Stamps from Stampers Best which I embossed with antique embossing powder.  The flowers are I Am Roses and the stick pins I made from my stash.
